Endeavor Detroit announced today that after five years of building and growing a successful organization, its founding Managing Director, Antonio Lück, has decided to depart Endeavor Detroit to launch MatterScale Ventures, a new Global Venture Fund. Lück will remain based in Detroit and continue to be involved in the organization as a mentor.
As founding Managing Director, Antonio Lück has been instrumental in the expansion of Endeavor in Michigan. Thanks to his leadership these past five years, Endeavor Detroit now supports entrepreneurs from 17 companies across a range of industries. Over the last five years, Endeavor Detroit Entrepreneurs generated close to $140 million in revenues, raised more than $83.5 million in equity capital, and created more than 850 jobs. Endeavor Detroit is Endeavor Global’s second U.S affiliate.
“Antonio is a real pleasure to work with. His vision and leadership have left a lasting mark on Endeavor Detroit and on Detroit itself,” said Cindy Pasky, CEO of Strategic Staffing Solutions and Endeavor Detroit Board Chair. “Antonio has built a successful organization and set the foundation for continued growth. Our city’s entrepreneurial environment is on solid footing due largely to his passion and support of our entrepreneurs. It’s been an honor to work with him, and we know he’ll bring the same level of leadership, wisdom and expertise to his next enterprise.”
Since its launch in 2015, Endeavor Detroit’s growth has been fueled thanks to the contributions its Board Members and partners like DTE Energy Foundation, William Davidson Foundation, and host of other private and corporate partners who support Endeavor’s mission.
“I feel so fortunate and grateful to have had the opportunity to work with Endeavor Detroit’s team, board, entrepreneurs, mentors, and all of our partners in Michigan and across the globe,” said Antonio Lück. “The support has been overwhelming. I am proud of the community we have built together and the impact we have had, and I can’t wait to see where we are in 15 years. I look forward to seeing all of the incredible things the team will accomplish under new leadership. The past five years since we launched Endeavor Detroit will always have a special place in my heart. Thank you to everyone who has contributed in helping us build Endeavor, and to those who will continue to participate in building the future of our region. Once Endeavor, always Endeavor.”
Lück will be succeeded by Diana Callaghan, who begins her new role October 3, 2019.
