Steve is founder and president of the Grand Rapids Gold (formerly the Drive), the Denver Nuggets’ affiliate in the NBA G-League. He also serves as CEO of Atomic Honey, a Detroit-based advertising agency he launched in 2019, and as Chief Strategy Officer of WaitTime, a startup also based in Detroit that has developed artificial intelligence software capable of providing real-time insights into crowd behavior at sporting events. Additionally, he is the Chief Strategy Officer for Air Company, a CO2 technology firm based in Brooklyn, New York.
He has started and sold two startups, one in the CO2 recycling space with a focus on microbreweries, the other a tech startup focused on peer-influenced shopping. The latter was acquired by Amazon.
Steve earned degrees in marketing and computer science from Trine University. He is a native of Kalamazoo, Michigan and is an active board member for a variety of local philanthropic organizations including Special Olympics, Children’s Foundation, Gilmore Car Museum, Brilliant Detroit and Endeavor.
