George Lenyo

Managing Partner, EY Detroit

Mr. George Lenyo has been Managing Partner for Detroit Office at Ernst & Young LLP since July 1, 2013. Mr. Lenyo is responsible for the deployment of the office’s 500 assurance, tax, advisory, transaction and business support professionals. He also leads local client and community service activities. He has more than 18 years of accounting and business consulting experience to clients across Michigan and northwest Ohio. Along with his new leadership role, he serves as Global Coordinating Service Partner for several large clients in the Midwest Region.

He serves on the Board of Directors for the Detroit Regional Chamber of Commerce and is a Member of the Executive Committee for the American Cancer Society. Committed to education reform, he is an Executive Sponsor for College Mentoring for Access and Persistence in Detroit. He joined the Ernst & Young’s Cleveland office in 1995. He graduated from John Carroll University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. He is a licensed CPA and is a Member of the Michigan Association of CPAs and the American Institute of CPAs.
