Shoshannah Lenski

Director of Strategy & Planning, DTE Energy

Shoshannah Lenski is a manager of Corporate Strategy for DTE Energy, a Detroit-based diversified energy company involved in the development and management of energy-related businesses and services nationwide. Its operating units include an electric utility serving 2.1 million customers in Southeastern Michigan and a natural gas utility serving 1.2 million customers in Michigan. The DTE Energy portfolio includes non-utility energy businesses focused on power and industrial projects, natural gas pipelines, gathering and storage, and energy marketing and trading. As one of Michigan’s leading corporate citizens, DTE Energy is a force for growth and prosperity in the 450 Michigan communities it serves in a variety of ways, including philanthropy, volunteerism and economic progress.

Lenski supports the Corporate Strategy team’s work on behalf of DTE Energy and its business units. In this role, she has worked on initiatives including state energy policy analysis, renewable energy strategy, benchmarking, M&A screening and evaluation, natural gas market dynamics, and customer satisfaction.

Prior to joining DTE in 2011, Lenski worked in management consulting with BCG. She supported global clients in the industrial goods, healthcare, and consumer packaged goods industries. Lenski earned an MS in Natural Resources and Environment from the University of Michigan, where she was awarded a Sustainable Energy Fellowship and a 3M Prize for Outstanding Achievement in Industrial Ecology. She also holds a BA summa cum laude from Cornell University, where she was a recipient of the national Morris K. Udall scholarship.

Lenski serves on the Ann Arbor Energy Commission and the External Advisory Board of the University of Michigan’s Center for Sustainable Systems.
